Interests
These are some of the things I enjoy doing.
Woodworking

Chess Set
Chess table, set and board I made as a gift out of scrap wood, glass, card stock, and copious amounts of time.
Workbench
Another gift (for my dad) made out of scrap wood as well. The workbench includes a miter inlay and magnetic screw drop and hopefully less back pain.

Things that fly

Space Shuttle Discovery
Despite how much I try, it's hard for me to get away from aerospace. From the model space shuttle on my desk to the significant detours I take while traveling just to visit space centers, I have a passion for the mechanical wonders that are air and spacecraft. From tracking satellites to following the Kepler mission avidly, the endless pursuit of innovation and discovery motivates me.

Travel
Though oftentimes for work, I like to adventure when circumstance allows.

I've driven across the country a few times. Making a video out of it (and Beaksworth's company) made it a much funner experience.
Volunteer Work

Time and service mean a lot to me. Whether it's digging out a retired firefighter's home, walking dogs for the Humane Society, or passing out food with a local church after a tornado, the gratitude expressed by those you help is more than worth the effort.
